The 2011 recipients of the Fellowship Open Golf Outing awards were announced at a reception at the offices of Quarles & Brady, LLP on Thursday, June 16th. In attendance with the awardees were the Honorary Chairs of this year’s Open. Now in its eleventh year, the Fellowship Open has highlighted and contributed to organizations in the Milwaukee area that support youth and have a real impact on their lives. The 2011 award recipients are: African World Festival, Milwaukee Summer Reading Program, MPS/UWM Rob Jeter’s Basketball Camps, NAACP – ACTSO Program, PGA Minority Collegiate Scholarship, Usher’s New Look Foundation, V.E. Carter Development Group and the Willie Davis Scholarship Fund...

 

2010 Fellowship Open honors Ulysses “Junior” Bridgeman and ReDonna Rodgers

The Fellowship Open has selected Ulysses “Junior” Bridgeman and ReDonna Rodgers as honorees for this year’s annual charity golf event that will take place on Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at the Silver Spring Country Club. Junior Bridgeman, former NBA professional basketball star, and owner and president of Bridgeman Foods, Inc., and ReDonna Rodgers, co-founder and president of the Center for Teaching Entrepreneurship in Milwaukee , will be honored for their entrepreneurial spirit and outstanding contributions to youth in their communities. The Fellowship Open is the largest golf tournament in Wisconsin, which promotes diversity and youth organizations in Milwaukee. Since its inception in 2001, the Fellowship Open has contributed more than $500,000 to more than 50 youth organizations.
